Pcakged Transformer Substation

Packaged transformer substation also named package substation, it means the step-down distribution transformer, mv and lv switchgear packaged in a compact substation designed in small size. The power capacity normally designed ranging from 11kV to 33kV, it depends on the distribution transformer ratings.

The distribution package substation has the advantages of small volume, compact structure, safe operation, easy maintenance etc..

Compared with conventional civil-based substations, the package substation with the same capacity is usually only 1/10 of the conventional substation, which greatly reduces the design workload and construction volume and reduces the construction cost. It can be used in ring main unit distribution system.

The overall structure of the packaged transformer substation is mainly divided into three parts: high-voltage switchgear, transformer, and low-voltage power distribution device. According to the requirement of the system, the high-voltage switch can be equipped with sulfur hexafluoride or vacuum circuit breaker, ring main switch, load switch and fuse.
